Partnership with Mid-Maine Homeless Shelter

Our partnership with the Mid-Maine Homeless Shelter continued to produce noticeable outcomes.  Mid-Maine Regional Adult Community Education presents Career Development Workshop classes at the shelter on Thursday and Friday mornings.  The classes focus on resume writing and interviewing skills, as well as job searches.

We are please to report that in 2015 more than 184 shelter guests participated in the Career Development Workshop, and at least 62 guests were employed while participating in the workshop.  We look forward to continuing our work with the shelter in the coming year.

Ready2Work CNA Graduation 2016

We would like to congratulate our Ready2Work CNA 2016 graduates!

These seven students started the program at the beginning of December, earning their WorkReady Credential before moving onto acquiring their CNA license.

On March 23, 2016, the CNA students were "pinned" by a loved one during a ceremony to celebrate the commencement of the program.

The partnership was made possible through the Augusta CareerCenter and Mount Saint Joseph's Residence and Rehabilitation in Waterville.

The WorkReady program was made possible by KVCAP and the United Way of Mid-Maine and our two fantastic WorkReady facilitators.

All seven graduates will start full-time at Mount St. Joseph's in the coming weeks.

Congratulations again!
