Office Skills Certificate Program

New This Year - Office Skills Certificate Program

Are your writing skills a little rusty? Do you want to learn more about the computer programs used in today’s offices? Are you hoping to re-enter the workforce or prepare for an entry-level office position?

The Office Skills Certification Program was designed with you in mind! Students will take evening classes covering the skills you need to succeed in the modern office environment.

To receive the certificate, students are required to take the seven core courses listed below. In addition, students will take 45 hours of elective courses in office skills or computer courses. The core courses ensure that all Office Skills Certification students receive the same skills while the electives let students choose to focus in areas that interest them the most.

Courses are offered at our Waterville and Oakland sites. There is a one-time registration fee of $20, and new students must meet with the Office Skills Coordinator to sign up for the program.

Required Core Courses:

Accounting I*

Business Writing Skills*

Business Math

Master the Keyboard*

Microsoft Office Suite (includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access)*

People Skills Training*

Take Charge of Your Career*

*These courses are offered this coming semester.

Students do not need to register for the Office Skills Certificate Program to take these classes, but you will not receive the Certification unless you register for the program.
