All levels welcome in this class! Beginner students will learn the step-by-step process of the Tiffany copper-foil design technique and will complete a beautiful panel. On our second class, 4/4, beginners will participate in a field trip to the Stained Glass shop in Manchester to purchase their own glass (approx. $40-$50 expense). By the end of six weeks, beginners will have gained the fundamental skills to continue a new and beautiful hobby. There is a $120 materials fee (cash or check only) due to the instructor at the start of the first class. This fee covers the Beginner Kit for Stained Glass. For Intermediate students: You will work independently, under the teacher's watchful eye, as you advance your techniques. There will be a $10 lab fee (cash or check only) due to the instructor at the start of the first class for all intermediate students. If you have been thinking about learning Stained Glass or improving your skill this is your chance! There will be a storm makeup class on 5/9, if needed. No class on Wednesday, 4/18. Limit 10 students.

Reiki is a Japanese based, hands-on healing technique for stressreduction and relaxation thatpromotes natural healing. Learn how to use your hands to bring comfort and healing to yourself and others. Reiki balances and energizes all systems of the body and facilitatesthe relief of physical, mental, and emotional symptoms. It heals from the root cause and is compatible with all healing methods.This class will include what Reiki is, the history, and how it works.There will be ample time for hands-on practice. Students must attend all four sessions in order to receive full Reiki I certification. Limit 8 students.

Do you avoid wearing makeup because you don't like looking "made up"? Have your features changed with time and you're not sure what to do? Candace Sanborn, of Radiant Image, will show you easy makeup tips that give you an enhanced, natural appearance! Together with Candace, you'll identify your face, eye, and lip shapes then you'll learn makeup application techniques to enhance your features. Students need to BRING their own makeup to apply during class and a small mirror, please. Make-up will not be provided. Limit 15 students.

This interactive class can help you gain the skills and confidence you need to stretch your money, pay your bills, reduce debt, find money for savings, plan for retirement, and set personal financial goals.  At the end of the class you will have a plan to achieve greater financial stability.  Successful completion of this class meets one of the requirements for the Family Development Account (FDA) and Rainy Day Saving  (RDS) matched saving programs.  Graduates of My Money Works are eligible to apply for the GEN Scholarship to be used at any of the University of Maine System campuses, Maine Community Colleges, or the University of New England.  Completion of this class meets the financial Literacy requirement for the First Generation Program of Maine Housing.

Do some shopping for Mother's Day (May 12, 2024) or pamper YOURSELF with this stunningly beautiful jewelry. We will make a copper wire-wrapped Tree of Life Pendant with matching earrings. Stones and wire will be provided. There will be a $25 materials fee (cash or check only) due to the instructor at the start of class. Once the class enrolls the minimum number of students to run, students will be emailed a Supply List of tools to purchase before the start of class. Enjoy an evening creating fused glass! You will learn how to place pieces of glass together to create two (2) pendants, pins, and ear-ring sets. This would make a nice heartfelt gift, or a new, fun way indulge your artsy side.  Materials fee $50 cash or check payable to the instructor at the start of class. Youwill be notified by the Adult Ed office when your artwork is ready to be picked up. Storm make up will be Mar. 7. Limit 20 students.
