We are all feeling the stress of these times. Join us for this calming practice that will help you to boost your immune system. We will target releasing tension from problem areas with gentle movement and restorative yoga poses. We will also do some calming yogic breathing techniques and meditation to bring us into balance. The goal is to leave you feeling more relaxed and easeful after each class and to help bring equilibrium to body and mind. Limit 20 students.
This introductory course is designed for beginners interested in learning how to play the ukulele. We will cover choosing and caring for a ukulele. We will cover sight reading, music theory, chord progressions, scales, and note values. When you finish this course you should be able to pick up sheet music and know key, melody, chords, and changes. You will need to pick up the Hal Leonard Ukulele Method book 1 and class handouts from the MMRACE office prior to the first class. Cost of the book is $7 with an audio option for $11. Students will also need a tuner, a 3 ring binder for homework/handouts and a notepad to take notes in class. Students ages 10 and up are welcome. Parents or Guardians must register and participate in the class with students under 17. Limit 10 students.
Medicare is not one size fits all. Are you new to Medicare? This session will review a wide variety of information to help you navigate the waters. We will review how to obtain Medicare, when you are eligible and many other important topics including supplemental insurance to compliment original Medicare. If you are currently enrolled in Medicare come get a refresher on the basics and better understand the choices available to you and when you can make changes. There are many different products and carriers available as well as various enrollment periods, which give you the opportunity to change your policy if appropriate. Anyone with questions about Medicare will find this class helpful. WILL BE HELD VIA ZOOM IF CANCELLED DUE TO COVID. Limit 10 students.
This class is geared to people who want an overview of investing, including key terms and investment types. We will cover the basic features of bonds, stocks, and mutual funds, and the importance of asset allocation. Most importantly we will focus on the guiding “Why” as we develop strategy, quality, diversification, the long term, and control. Limit 15 students.
