During the first two weeks of this class we will cover the basics of the DSLR digital camera and other photography basics. We will look at aperture, shutter speeds, ISO, photocomposition, and how they are used together to create an outstanding photograph. We will also be taking an in-depth look at natural lighting as well as flash lighting techniques including on and off camera lighting. Weather permitting we may do a bit of outdoor photography. Then during the last class we will learn the basics of Photoshop. A DSLR camera is required. Limit 8 students. No class Apr. 22. Storm makeup will be determined together as a class.
Come learn more about both the artistic side - including composition and design - and the technical, such as aperture, shutter speed, loss and non-loss files, downloading to electronic formats, simple editing, and more. We will be outdoors shooting as daylight and weather permit! You must bring your camera, manual, CHARGED batteries, and ALL cords to each class. Optional: If you have a laptop and/or card reader please bring them to class. Parent or guardian must register and participate in the class with students ages 13-17. Limit 4 students. No class May 25.
