Next session: February 26th to April 30th, 2025

$100 More Info

Each 2-hour class will practice symbolic interpretation of the Tarot cards as reflections of the living, changing patterns of their lives, using the Rider-Waite-Smith Tarot deck. Week One will provide an explanation of the Jungian perspective on signs and symbols, viewing Tarot as a set of dynamic and personalized messages. Study of Tarot’s symbolic foundation will begin that week, as well, with examples from both the Major and the Minor Arcana of how shared symbol structures often reveal totally different messages. This will be illustrated by the triangular structure often seen in the Major Arcana, and by the divine gift symbolism of the four Aces. In the nine remaining weeks, the rest of the 78 cards will be viewed, with a different category of symbols highlighted each week. Categories will include humanity, plants and animals, the natural environment and weather symbols, and actions within the images. This is a 10 week course, held on Wednesdays.
